A collaborative storytelling game inspired by slice-of-life anime and manga
Not every story is about saving the world. Sometimes, it is about making it through an ordinary day.
A Tuesday in Tokyo is a light, GM-less roleplaying game in which you create a complete slice-of-life anime episode together. Using a standard deck of playing cards, you will introduce a cast of ordinary characters, explore the relationships between them, discover what each of them hopes to accomplish, and follow their day through complications, unexpected help, quiet victories, and heartfelt reflections.
By the time the ending credits roll, you will have created a warm, interconnected story filled with friendship, humor, awkward conversations, personal struggles, and the little moments that make everyday life meaningful.
Easy to Learn, Easy to Play
No Game Master, no preparation, and no complicated character sheet.
Gather around a table, divide a deck of cards into its four suits, and begin telling your story. Optional inspiration tables can help you create characters, relationships, locations, emotions, obstacles, and unexpected solutions whenever you need a creative spark.
This game can also be played solo as a journaling experience, allowing you to write your episode as a short story, manga outline, or anime script.
